“When the lens is flipped, he encounters something fresh uncovered by sight”. This haiku couldn’t be more accurate for fashion and portrait photographer Chaniel Andran. Born on the beautiful caribbean island of Jamaica.  He grew up having a great love for nature and photography, always glancing at stunning picturesque images in books and magazines.  At the age of 9 he relocated to New York City.  After graduating High School he got into modeling, an experience that helped to fuel his artistic vision.  Even though he loved being in front of the camera, the thought of being behind it was always on his mind. After being gifted a camera from a friend in 2015, he was ready to explore his talent behind the lens. His unique eye for imagery came natural and effortless and he was ready to share his vision with the world.

Based between New York City and Los Angeles, to date he’s worked with top talent and agencies such as IMG models, New York models, Wilhelmina Models and LA models just to name a few and have also shot editorials for no fewer than 10 publications.  Always pushing his creativity to the next level, his images are vivid as they are captivating and the industry is taking notice. Among his accolades, he was recently named one of the top photographers in Los Angeles by Peer Space. This is only the beginning of his journey and there’s absolutely no limit to his creative vision.
